Images and details regarding both the new BlackBerry 6.0 operating system (OS) and the new clamshell BlackBerry 9670 have been leaked to the Internet.

First up is version 6.0 of the BlackBerry OS, which, according to BoyGeniusReport (BGR), boasts a redesigned home screen, multi-touch gesture support, system-wide kinetic scrolling for touch-screen displays, and an enhanced Web browser offering the addition of favourites and tab switching.

Although these features and functions are unconfirmed by BlackBerry maker Research in Motion (RIM), we’ll find out soon enough as RIM is expected to showcase its 6.0 platform during the upcoming WES 2010 symposium – which kicks off on April 27.

Then there’s the flip-based BlackBerry 9670, a sleek and curvy little number powered by BlackBerry OS 6.0 (obviously) and sporting a proper QWERTY keyboard, a 5.0 mega-pixel camera, Wi-Fi connectivity, a 360 x 480 internal display, microSD storage expansion, a trackpad, and Bluetooth.

Again, no confirmations or denials from RIM regarding the leaked information at this juncture, and there’s also no concrete information to draw upon in relation to the phone’s price and regional availability.
